A venue built for this
We're a training and meeting venue every day of the week. Rooms are set before you arrive. The tech is tested. Our hosts know how a conference day runs.
Hotel standards, fairer prices
We don't charge per person for tea and coffee. There's no paid car park and no big company markup. We're a charity, so the money goes back into the community.

How does Maggie's compare with a hall or a hotel?

Conference venue questions
Is there parking for conference guests?
Yes. There's a free 50-space car park right outside. It has accessible bays by the Auditorium. For bigger conferences, there's an overflow car park across the main road. A parking attendant will show your guests where to go.
How far is the venue from Liverpool?
The Maggie O'Neill Centre is in Huyton, Knowsley, on the east side of Liverpool. We're 30 seconds from the M57, on a main bus route. If you drive from St Helens or Warrington, you don't need to go into the city centre.
How many people can a conference hold?
The Auditorium seats up to 100 theatre style, or 60 cabaret at tables. Six breakout rooms take 20 to 30 people each, theatre style. Use them for workshops and side sessions.
How much does conference venue hire cost?
The Auditorium costs from £100 an hour, with a 3-hour minimum. Or you can pay a day rate. We quote for each conference. It depends on the rooms, layout and tech you need. The AV technician costs extra. You order food straight from our catering partner.
Why choose you over a hotel conference venue?
Parking is free for everyone. Tea and coffee are included all day, not charged per head. Our hosts' only job is your event. Rooms are our whole business, not a side line to the bedrooms.
What AV is there for speakers?
The Auditorium has a stage, a lectern and microphones for up to six people at once. There's a projector, a sound system and lighting. A technician sets up and runs the AV on the day. You pay for this, and every Auditorium booking needs it. Every breakout room has a flatscreen with wireless casting.
Can you cater for a conference?
Yes. Tea and coffee are included all day. For food, Superior Catering can make a menu for your guests. They do vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. You order and pay them directly. We'll put you in touch when you book.
Do you host parties or private functions?
No. The Maggie O'Neill Centre hosts business, training and community events only. We don't take bookings for parties or private functions.
What are the payment and cancellation terms?
Conferences count as larger bookings. 25% deposit to secure your dates. We'll invoice you when you book. Please pay within 5 business days, or we may release the dates. The deposit is non-refundable. Larger bookings are fully chargeable once booked. If you cancel, the full cost is payable. The same applies if you reduce the number of rooms, days or hours. Full details are in our booking terms.
Can we visit before we book?
