How do block bookings and invoicing work?
- A standard booking is one room for one day. Free to cancel or change up to 1 business day before your start time.
- If you book the same room every week and each session stands alone, each date is treated as its own standard booking. Cancelling one week doesn’t affect the others.
- If your dates make up one course or programme, the whole course counts as one larger booking. 25% deposit to secure your dates.
- You can pay by bank transfer (details on your invoice) or by card over the phone. PO numbers are welcome, but we still need the deposit to secure your dates.

Care providers run TMVA, safety intervention, hoist training, moving and handling, medication, first aid, safeguarding, epilepsy awareness and induction training at the Maggie O'Neill Centre. Your trainer delivers the course, and we host it.
Is there space for safety intervention and TMVA training?
Yes. Tell us it's a practical session, and the room is cleared before you arrive so there's open floor space for safety intervention and TMVA training.
Can we run hoist training?
Yes. There's floor space for a hoist. The Maggie O'Neill Centre doesn't provide a bed, so bring the equipment your session needs.
Can we book the same dates every month?
Yes. Ask us to hold regular dates for your training calendar, and your host will keep the same room set the same way each time.
How many support workers can we train at once?
It depends on the room and how practical the session is. Tell us how many people are coming and what the day involves, and we'll recommend the room and layout that works, then set it up before you arrive.
How much does a care training room cost?

What happens if we need to cancel a training day?

Yes. The Maggie O'Neill Centre has a free 50-space car park on site, 30 seconds from the M57.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, on the ground floor. There's step-free access, 3 accessible parking bays and an accessible toilet with grab rails, a fold-down rail and an emergency pull cord. We don't have a lift to the first-floor rooms, but the Auditorium, Community Room, Forum, Grove and Pod are all on the ground floor. Tell us about any accessibility needs when you book and we'll put you in a ground-floor room.

Where is the Maggie O'Neill Centre?
The Maggie O'Neill Centre is at 433 Liverpool Road, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 8HT, in Knowsley, 30 seconds from the M57.

- Fully accessible on the ground floor, with step-free access and accessible parking. We don't have a lift to the first-floor rooms, but the Auditorium, Community Room, Forum, Grove and Pod are all on the ground floor.

- Open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Evening and weekend room hire on request.
